Production & Digital Assistant Trainee
Summary
We have an exciting and unique opportunity to join Turnip + Duck as audio production support on series 2 of the award-winning animated preschool show Maddie + Triggs.
The role requires an efficient, effective, organised individual with a passion for children' s media, an appetite for learning, and an aptitude for working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. We’re looking for a fast learner who is organised, enthusiastic and eager to learn the ropes of how a busy production works.
About the show
Maddie + Triggs is an inclusive preschool musical comedy series aimed at children aged 4 to 7 for CBeebies and RTÉ KIDSjr and follows the adventures of Maddie, a visually impaired 7-year-old girl, and her dog Triggs, who find music in the sounds of the everyday.
Now entering its second series, the show has won multiple awards and has been acquired by public broadcasters all over the world.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the series Project Manager, you will be required to:
Update tracker for the entire Audio Pipeline, including VO records, Sound Design, and Music Composition.
Assist with organising and scheduling voice record sessions.
Liaising with the Script Coordinator and Audio Department to prepare materials.
Create Call Sheets and share session materials in advance with actors and crew.
Tracking VO record sessions live, taking note of any comments from VO Director.
Ensuring recorded materials flows to the Sound Design Team and Music Composition Team as appropriate.
Liaise with Production Support from other departments (e.g. Animatics Team, Animation Team, etc.)
Schedule meetings as required between various teams.
Occasionally assist the animation assets team to create short video edits for socials.
Technical Skills
Experience tracking large volumes of data (excel, Google Sheets) google Suite.
Working knowledge of audio pipeline (familiarity with audio file formats, etc.) a bonus.
Knowledge of 2D animation process, including scripting a bonus.
Basic knowledge of ProTools and Logic a bonus.
Basic knowledge of Image & Video editing (e.g. Canva, Da Vinci) software a bonus.
Some experience with Social Media management tools (e.g. Metricool) a bonus.
Familiarity with Discord environment a bonus.
Soft Skills
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Task orientated: ability to prioritise and able to manage own workload effectively.
Ability to act on own initiative and solve problems as they arise.
Ability to foresee pipeline issues and flag them in advance to Project Manager.
Excellent communicator: confidence and enthusiasm in working with people.
An eagerness to learn and a willingness to understand creative materials on an editorial level.
Must be comfortable working to tight deadlines.
Contract
Full time, fixed term PAYE 12-month contract.
This is a trainee role and trainee rates will apply.
Flexible working hours.
Location
Remote. Must be based in the Republic of Ireland.
